You can report fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement, and corruption related to District of Columbia government operations, which includes contractors doing business with the D.C. government, and/or District of Columbia government employees. We do not have jurisdiction over federal government employees or their contractors, and these matters should be directed to the inspector general’s office within the appropriate federal agency. Our policy is to honor requests for confidentiality and not to release any data that would identify such individuals unless required to do so by order of law (e.g., court order/subpoena) or deemed necessary for the safety of an individual. Permission to release Identity: When providing consent to release your identity outside of the Office of the Inspector General, identity is disclosed only on a “need-to-know” basis to District government agencies and other investigative personnel as necessary to complete an inquiry into your allegations to resolve the matter.
